Editor's Note: This is a guest post from Jaimie Swartz, Co-President of FIRST Robotics Team 2554.

FIRST Robotics Team 2554 from John P. Stevens High School (located in Edison, New Jersey) is proud to have established a partnership with The Knotts Company. Team 2554 is composed of students, mentors, and parents who compete in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). FIRST is an international program that immerses high school students into the world of science and engineering. Each year, the team is given about two months to build a robot capable of performing the given task. The team then competes against other teams at various regional competitions to test their skills. Team 2554 also hosts demonstrations at local elementary school science fairs by showcasing the robot and educating young students about science and technology. For more information, feel free to view the team website at www.team2554robotics.org

The team appreciates the Knotts Company’s generous donation accompanied by spare material and material discounts. The team also looks forward to working with professionals from the Knotts Company during the build season. With this partnership Team 2554 hopes to expand team membership, reach out to more younger students, and continue to spread interest in science and technology. The team definitely looks forward to sustaining a lusty partnership with Knotts and sincerely thanks them for their support.
