Product Training Boosts Sales and Savings

Training is Knowledge

You might think that a product being sold is simple and easy to use, but that's not always the case.  Depending on who you are dealing with, something fundamentally simple, like changing the pressure on a regulator, could be confusing because the person might not be aware that the knob needs to pop up to unlock before being able to turn.  When you're dealing with high-tech items like motion controllers, the expectations for any given person to have existing knowledge should be even less.  This is why it is important to have training programs available for the products we sell.  Whether it's a pressure regulator or a 64 axis motion controller, a customer can't be left out in the cold to fend for themselves.

Which product would you be more apt to buying?  One that you understand how to use or one you don't?

It's a pretty simple concept: people will be more likely to buy something simply because it's familiar to them.  If you can teach someone how to use your products, they may want to try them.  But what happens if you can't teach your customer the basics of how the item is used?  They won't be willing to try it.  That warm fuzzy feeling really does go a long way.  So what can you do?

Get trained yourself!

I have found that the best thing you can do to help your customers, is to help yourself.  Being knowledgeable of the products you sell, not only what they are, but how they are used and what applications they fit best into, will make your customers more likely to buy them from you.  With the knowledge you supply them, they will be more self sufficient saving you both time.  The Knotts Company continually trains its sales staff and application engineers on the newest products from all vendors.  Training is a mixture of AE led and vendor driven factory training.

Time is money.

Saving your customer time and money is what it's all about.  Your products might be saving your customer money on the cost of the purchase, installation, or running and it was your knowledge that got them there!  To find out what kinds of customer training the Knotts Company offers, click the button below to send me a message.
