The manufacturer of a device to analyze air contaminants needed a fluid transfer system to dispense samples in a liquid carrier onto an identification card. Their combination of tubing, valves and pumps from different suppliers was too large for the instrument and too imprecise to control the sub-micro liter fluid volumes required.

NORGREN SOLUTION

Norgren engineers designed an integrated system that comprised Kloehn syringes, syringe pumps, rotary valves and drivers, solenoid valves and all the tubing and acrylic assembly required. The sub-assembly was engineered to meet specific customer requirements – no costly extras – and to integrate easily into the customer’s instrument.
